Amsterdam / The Hague – June 7, 2018 – Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (“LLCP”) today announced that it is investing in Squla together with the existing Squla management team – led by CEO Serge Bueters.

Squla is the leading consumer brand in the field of education for Dutch parents and children. Since its launch in 2010 by André Haardt, Squla offers the largest online practice platform for primary school students. Squla is located in Amsterdam and the platform fits seamlessly into the Dutch curriculum. This helps children to learn in a fun, personal and flexible way. Although originally aimed at home use, Squla is now also used by schools throughout the Netherlands.

Serge Bueters: “We are very excited about this next step and look forward to jointly continuing our mission to help as many students as possible progress through Squla’s Fun Learning approach. We are convinced that LLCP is an excellent partner to grow our business and develop new services. An example of this is TaalExtra, which started this week and is specially designed for children with spelling problems and dyslexia. LLCP’s extensive experience in education, their Dutch office and reputation as a value added partner have been key to our partnership.”

Wouter Snoeijers, Managing Director of LLCP: “We look forward to working with Serge Bueters and the Squla management and supporting them in their mission. Squla helps students throughout the Netherlands to get more out of themselves, and we are happy to contribute to Squla’s further growth and success.”
